Patterns add great visual interest to any outfit. But they are often feared. Whether it's because you don't know what to pair with them or you think they will distort the shape of your body in some way. Here, three ways to get you started when it comes to experimenting with patterns...
- Try them first only on the smallest part of your body. So, if you carry your weight in the lower body, wear a patterned top and keep it solid on the bottom.
- Keep the pattern relative to the scale of your body. If you are smaller, stick to small patterns, medium, medium patterns, larger...you get the idea!
- If you are still scared to try them out on your body, go for a patterned accessory like a bag, scarf, or pair of shoes.
