Making the most of your wardrobe...

I was doing a Wardrobe Intervention with a client recently and as we got to chatting about our next appointment which would involve shopping, she grew a little concerned I was going to make her spend a ton of cash to update and freshen up her wardrobe. Nonsense! I am a big believer in making the most of what you've got, so I showed her how using one item in your closet (usually a classic staple) and adding to it can create a great variety of looks...as long as you plan it out carefully.

Here's an example I have put together using a basic khaki skirt, which on it's own isn't that exciting, but with some careful thought and planning, can make a great variety of looks.

You'll notice I used the exact same pair of shoes and handbag throughout, and instead switched up the tops and accessories...a much more affordable way of switching up your look.

Try it yourself! Grab that one great fitting, classic piece in your wardrobe and think about how you can add to it and mix up your look depending on the occasion, your mood, or the trends of the season. And most important, don't forget to have fun with it!
